Football - Boys Frosh

The game remained tied 0-0 at the end of the first quarter. Placer struggled with penalities and a fumble in the first half. Isaac Brahce scored on a 65 yd run for Placer's first TD. Placer scored a second time before half on a 5 yd run by Michael Robinson. The PAT failed and the score at half favored Placer 13-0. In the 3rd quarter Alex Graziano came up big with an interception at mid field. Placer put together a drive down to the 2 yd line & Michael Robinson scored his 2nd TD of the game. Dominic Granieri kicked a 26 yd field goal before the 3rd quarter ended making the score 23-0. Placer's defense gave up less than 10 first downs the entire game before the game concluded 23-0 in favor of Placer. QB Casey Yunk completed 3 of 6 passing for over 50 yds. He completed a nice pass to Brahce who made a stretched out catch on the Colfax 5 yd line. Brahce ended the night with 103 yds on 10 carries. Robinson had 93 yds rushing on 18 carries. Robinson has 26 TD's on the season with over 1400 yds total rushing in the season.  Jacob Moman & Michael Valdez both played well offensively. The defense played exceptional keeping Colfax from scoring. Jake Lewis, Eddie Vanderdoes, Tony Suverkropp, Ryan Talley & Jerry Pellgrino all had big games defensively.
